Floatsuits

Over 140,000 people drown worldwide each year. This is not because they fall into the water unconscious and not because their flotation aid doesn't have enough buoyancy. It is simply because they're not wearing any flotation aid at all!

The reason for this is that traditional flotation aids are too bulky!

Second Skins Float Suit is so comfortable and attractive that it can be worn all day long and still look good. Additionally, Second Skins Float Suit offers UPF 50+ sun protection to covered areas of the torso, shoulders and upper arms, whilst thighs are protected to just above the knees. The zip in the back of the suit allows for easy dressing and undressing, even when wet. Once the child is a competent swimmer, the floats can be removed and the suit worn as a sun suit.

The purpose of any flotation aid is to create neutral buoyancy that allows children to grow in confidence and enjoy the water.

REMEMBER: almost all drownings occur when least expected - no time to run for a life vest! A Second Skins Floatsuit is not a life vest. It is an aid to assist in teaching a child to swim and grow in confidence in the water. Even though the flotation suit may prevent drowning, it must be used under competent supervision at all times.
